From Telecom to B2B: How Telgoo5 Is Rethinking Complex Billing

Behind every telecom connection is a complex system of billing, customer management, service delivery, and operations. Telgoo5 understands these challenges and has spent more than two decades developing technology that helps telecom businesses manage these interconnected requirements with greater control and efficiency. The company brings essential tools together in one platform, covering billing, customer management, service activation, payments, SIM and eSIM management, and more. This unified approach helps service providers acquire customers, launch new services, track usage, and manage billing accurately as their businesses grow.

As the connectivity industry continues to evolve, Telgoo5 has expanded its reach beyond traditional telecom operators to support MVNOs, mobile operators, fiber and broadband providers, and enterprises. Its next step is to take its expertise in billing, usage tracking, and monetization beyond telecom, helping a wider range of B2B businesses address increasingly demanding service and operational requirements. By combining industry experience with a broader vision, Telgoo5 is positioning its technology to help businesses manage complex billing, strengthen monetization strategies, and create new opportunities for growth. In this exclusive interview with Business Fortune, Sandy Mehra, CEO of Telgoo5 shares how it is simplifying telecom operations, expanding into B2B billing, and helping businesses manage complex revenue models with greater flexibility and efficiency.

Interview Highlights

Your platform brings together BSS, billing, OCS, and telecom operations. How do these capabilities help mobile operators and MVNOs manage complexity, control costs, and launch services faster?

Telecom operations involve many interconnected processes. Billing, charging, provisioning, customer management, payments, taxation, SIM management, product configuration, and network integrations all have to work together reliably.Telgoo5 brings these capabilities into a unified operational environment rather than requiring operators to assemble and maintain numerous disconnected systems. This can reduce operational complexity, improve visibility across the customer lifecycle, and automate workflows that would otherwise require significant manual effort. For operators launching or expanding services, that flexibility is particularly important. Telgoo5 supports prepaid and postpaid models, real-time charging, configurable products and pricing, SIM/eSIM management, carrier integrations, and APIs for third-party systems.

Telecom providers face growing pressure to support new services while maintaining accurate billing and reliable operations. What are the biggest challenges facing the industry today, and how is Telgoo5 helping address them?

One of the biggest challenges is that telecom is becoming more complex while customers expect the experience to become simpler.Operators are managing more services, pricing models, partners, networks, devices, and customer touchpoints. At the same time, they need accurate billing, real-time visibility, reliable provisioning, and the ability to introduce new offerings quickly.Legacy and fragmented systems can make that difficult. When different parts of the customer lifecycle operate independently, launching new services becomes slower and maintaining a consistent customer experience becomes more challenging.Telgoo5 addresses this through a modular, API-driven platform that connects critical operational functions and can integrate with carriers, payment platforms, taxation systems, CRM applications, device partners, and other technologies. The objective is to give providers a flexible operational foundation that can evolve alongside their business.

As telecom services expand across 5G, IoT, and connected devices, how is Telgoo5 evolving its technology to support changing usage patterns, real-time charging, and increasingly complex service models?

The industry is moving beyond traditional monthly service plans toward increasingly dynamic monetization models. Services can now involve different combinations of subscriptions, consumption, devices, data, events, and real-time usage.Telgoo5 is designed to support this complexity through capabilities such as online charging, usage processing, rating, configurable pricing, prepaid and postpaid billing, and real-time service management. Our approach is to give providers flexibility in how they define, price, package, and monetize services. As 5G, IoT, connected devices, and other services introduce new usage patterns, the underlying billing and charging infrastructure needs to adapt without requiring operators to rebuild their technology stack every time a new business model emerges.

Telgoo5 is expanding beyond telecom into the broader B2B billing market. What opportunities led to this move, and how does your experience in telecom prepare you to serve businesses across other industries?

This expansion is a natural extension of the problems Telgoo5 has been solving in telecom for more than two decades.Telecom is one of the most demanding billing environments. Platforms must process large volumes of usage data, rate transactions accurately, manage recurring and usage-based charges, support complex product structures, generate invoices, process payments, and maintain reliability at scale.Increasingly, these are no longer telecom-specific challenges. SaaS companies, cloud and managed service providers, technology companies, IoT businesses, and other service-based organizations are introducing more sophisticated consumption and subscription models. We see an opportunity to take the technology and operational experience developed in telecom and apply it to businesses facing similar monetization challenges. Rather than approaching B2B billing as an entirely new discipline, we are extending capabilities that have already been built around complex, high-volume service environments.

Businesses increasingly need usage-based and subscription billing, accurate usage metering, flexible pricing and rating, automated invoicing, and billing analytics. How is Telgoo5 bringing these capabilities together to help businesses manage complex revenue models?

Our approach is to treat billing as an end-to-end revenue management process rather than simply invoice generation.Businesses need to capture and meter usage, determine how that usage should be rated, apply the appropriate pricing model, combine recurring and consumption-based charges, generate accurate invoices, collect payments, and understand the resulting revenue data. Telgoo5 is bringing these capabilities together so businesses can support subscription billing, usage-based billing, usage metering, configurable pricing and rating, automated invoicing, payments, and billing analytics within a connected environment. That becomes particularly valuable as companies introduce hybrid models—for example, a recurring platform fee combined with usage charges, tiered pricing, one-time fees, or other variables. The goal is to give businesses the flexibility to design commercial models around how they actually deliver value to their customers.

Moving from telecom-focused solutions to a broader B2B billing platform presents new demands. How are you adapting your technology to meet different industries’ needs while maintaining the reliability, flexibility, and scalability developed through your telecom experience?

The key is not to assume that every industry operates like telecom. We are retaining the core strengths developed through telecom—scalability, accurate usage processing, sophisticated rating, automation, integrations, and support for complex billing models—while making the platform increasingly configurable for different industries and business models.A modular and API-driven architecture is important to that strategy. Businesses should be able to integrate billing with their existing CRM, accounting, payment, taxation, and operational systems rather than redesigning their entire technology environment around a billing platform. This allows Telgoo5 to bring telecom-grade billing capabilities into new markets while giving businesses the flexibility to configure the platform around their own products, workflows, pricing models, and customer relationships.

Looking ahead, what are Telgoo5’s key priorities for innovation and growth, and how do you envision the company’s role evolving as demand for intelligent billing and revenue monetization solutions grows across telecom and other industries?

Our priority is to continue strengthening Telgoo5’s position in telecom while expanding the addressable problems our technology can solve.Within telecom, we see significant opportunity as mobile, fiber, broadband, IoT, and other connectivity services increasingly converge. Providers need flexible BSS, billing, charging, and operational infrastructure capable of supporting those services without creating additional technology silos.Beyond telecom, we see billing becoming an increasingly strategic technology layer. As more businesses adopt subscription, usage-based, and hybrid revenue models, accurately measuring consumption, pricing services, automating billing, and understanding revenue becomes fundamental to growth. Our longer-term vision is therefore broader than billing alone. We want Telgoo5 to provide the infrastructure businesses use to turn increasingly complex products and services into scalable, manageable, and monetizable revenue models.
